What Your Adventure Will Look Like

Your adventure begins when you meet your Ultimate Adventures guide in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, where you’ll get changed into your specialist caving equipment before heading towards the cave system.

Once there, your guide will provide a full safety briefing and introduce you to the equipment and techniques used throughout the experience, including how to safely use ropes and technical equipment during the descent.

From here, the adventure truly begins.

You’ll descend into Alum Pot via a huge abseil into the cave, entering an incredible underground world hidden beneath the Yorkshire Dales.

​

As you journey through the cave system, you’ll explore large chambers, underground passages and technical cave features while navigating a variety of subterranean challenges and scrambling sections.

​

Throughout the experience, you’ll move through flowing water, uneven terrain and fascinating underground environments formed over thousands of years.

​

This is a hands-on adventure with a real sense of progression and exploration as you travel deeper underground before eventually emerging back to the surface.

After completing the trip, you’ll finish with a huge sense of achievement, unforgettable memories and plenty of photos from your underground adventure.
